The brief

A framing crew needed a website that reads like a set of drawings.

Slipp Construction self-performs steel-stud framing, drywall and taping on commercial and multi-unit builds across Halifax. The people they sell to are general contractors, and a GC decides in seconds whether a sub looks like one they can hand a schedule to.

We had just built the brand, so the site had one job: carry that confidence onto a screen, show real jobs with real numbers, and get a project manager to an estimate without a detour.

The load-in, rebuilt in code and looping: the mark drafted as linework on a blueprint, inked to solid, and the sheet lifts to the site.

The idea

Blueprint blue, sheet numbers, a page that drafts itself.

The brand’s blue became the page. Sections are numbered like drawing sheets, the hero carries the site’s coordinates, and a faint drafting grid sits under everything, so the whole site reads as a set of plans for the company itself.

The load-in makes that literal. The Slipp mark is drawn as linework, inked to solid, and the sheet lifts to reveal the crew on site. The brand’s condensed display face does the headlines; a technical mono carries the labels, the specs and the numbers.

The build

One page, hand-built, nothing to wait on.

No template and no site builder. One page in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with a looping film from the brand shoot in the hero, reveals that fire as you scroll, a row of counters that climb into view, five services, a five-step process and five projects with their square footage.

Phones and data-saver connections get a lighter hero film, the load-in stands down for anyone who prefers reduced motion, and the estimate form asks only what a quote needs. It is light enough to open on a job site, which is where it gets read.

The services section: five cards from framing to insulation, each with its spec line.

The process section on blueprint blue: five numbered steps from estimate to hand-off.

The process, numbered like sheets.

The projects section: five Halifax jobs with their square footage.
